Stargazing on an Island...

      Moonlight turned the woods silver .The smells of the sea and the mulberry bushes wafted on the breeze .The island was beautiful as well as eerie with palm trees filling up every free spaces .Every once in a while ,a rabbit or a deer kept jumping off from the nearby cliff close to the beach .The tranquility in the air was desturbed by the frequent hisses of a volcano ,standing aloof at the center of the island .She blinked at the night sky,stared wonderstruck at the stars ,which made a splash of diomonds across the sky .The not so melancholic chirps of wild birds hung in the air. Her curly hair fluttered in the wind .She wondered about those unhappy souls who once lived in that island .They had many challenges,so they were forced to flee from there.She woke up from her trance when she saw the first meteor .She didn't believe in superstitions but someone had once told her that watching meteor showers can really bring people luck.She gazed at the stars which was now shining unusually bright ."I love you mom",she murmured and then she left.

Living on an island

By BM Unnimaya        The first thing that we come to notice is the sound apart from the ethnic beauty of this island. Felt like hearing it again and again. It was so beautiful that can't be described in words;only we can just feel it and try to listen those melodious voice.          The sound of birds as well as the sound of sea water crawling into the sand ,its just like they are inviting us into their paradise. We can feel millions of sand grains underneath our feet and the cool breeze striking our faces. One would have definitely dreamt of this place. We can see a mesmerizing sunset giving a mixture of yellow and orange on the horizon beneath the deep blue ocean. While sitting down one can observe the island surrounded by water.
